Paintings
Starting from observation, I explore the impermanence and complexity of the everyday. My work arises through a process of photographic documentation and reinterpretations in pencil, pastel, and paint. In doing so, the image evolves from recognizability to abstraction, with an emotional layering.
Inspired by contemporary art, both technically and conceptually, I reflect on the role of painting within a broader visual context. In my recent practice, I look for ways to bring paintings into dialogue with space and with other images. Stories emerge not only within the image, but also between them.
