I am Laura Beck, working as a full-time graphic designer in Brussels.
The graphic work on this website is mainly print and gives an impression of the direction I usually take. Some of my latest work cannot be published due to copyright reasons, but in recent years I have been more involved in digital design, using XD and After Effects. On a general note, I’m inspired by art, conversations, cooking (and everything that comes with it), movies and life.
As a graphic designer, I try to give as much meaning as possible to everything used in the design. The color, composition, etc. determine the interpretation of the viewer. Graphic design is the power to communicate the underlying and send out a scene or even an opinion. What I intend to specialise in, is the ability of telling a story while not removing any crucial details.
In my artistic work I try to push these boundaries. You will notice that there is not always a connection between everything I create, but everything comes from within myself and is a form of expression. My work is a constant search for who I am, what I want to show and how I achieve this vision.
